  • The car which is all set to replace the bad bull Murcielago has been launched. Yes one of the most awaited car of the year Lamborghini’s new the Aventador LP700-4 is being launched on March 3rd at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Some Technical Specifications 7 Features of Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4:

    •  The cutting edge chassis, which with its carbon fibre monocoque and aluminium front and rear sub frames provides excellent torsional rigidity
    • Aventador weighs just 1575kg

    • The Aventador also retains the marque's signature front-end hydraulic lift, giving the car 40 mm of extra lift on the nose to deal with speed bumps and driveway lips.

    • a brand new 6.5-litre 60-degree V12 engine which makes an unbelievable 700 PS of power and an equally unimaginable 690Nm of torque.

    • short stroke configuration of the engine with a 95mm bore and 76.4mm stroke.

    • massive 255mm wide Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres at the front and 335mm wide at the back, zero to 100km/h is estimated to come up in just 2.9seconds.

    •  And Lamborghini says the Aventador will stampede its way up to a top speed in excess of 350km/h.

    • For the transmission, Lamborghini has ignored the twin-clutch trend, going instead with single clutch but twin shifting rods, allowing the second rod to slam in a new gear as the first rod disengages the previous one.
    • This system not only makes the gearbox 20kg lighter than an equivalent twin-clutch gearbox, but Lamborghini claims also adds more of a visceral feel to the gear change process. The gearbox features five shift modes: Auto, Auto Strada, Strada, Sport and Corsa. When put in Corsa mode, shift times drop to around 50 ms – just 10 ms short of current F1 technologies.

    • The Aventador is no less advanced indoors, with a TFT digital instrument panel – a screen full of digital gauges eliminating moving parts and allowing the customization and reconfiguration of gauge placement depending on driving mode and individual driver needs.

And just how much is this new raging bull supposed to cost? When it goes on sale in the late summer of 2011, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will be available for 255,000 Euros (approx 1.6 crore rupees). So we guess most of us will have to be happy with the scale models and the posters.
