JB's VERDICT – 3/5: Southampton – and their chairman Nicola Cortese – are hugely ambitious and the signing of Gaston Ramirez is not only a big deal but could be real coup if he shows the same form he has for his country, Uruguay. Southampton looked like they needed a bit more star quality and he could give it. They have spent a lot of money and will want a return.

It could have been very different if Joao Moutinho had been signed for £23m and head coach Andre Villas-Boas will regret that as it means Luka Modric has simply not been replaced.

JB's VERDICT – 4/5: Wigan were always going to sell prize asset Victor Moses and pretty much got the price they wanted for him which has allowed manager Roberto Martinez to reshape his squad and even make a transfer market profit to keep the chairman happy. Still they have also spent and will be happy with their business

Sir Alex: Rooney Is Fit To Face Spurs

Sir Akex Ferguson is over-excited for Wayne Rooney landing back on next Sunday from Tottenham tour.

Though, due to his ankle injury during training on Friday, he stayed at West Brom on New Year. And Alex didn’t wanted him to play forward.

Sir Alex is also very much happy for Wayne for his Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford.

At this Sir Alex commented, "I could have put him on the bench but there was no point, He just felt it again on Friday and when he came in on Saturday morning you could see there was a reaction. At that point, we said no."

Sir Alex’s expectations are very high also on skipper Nemanja Vidic because Edwin van der Sar may need 1 more week for improvement from his weakness due to Flu virus for consecutive 3 games in 2011.

Sir Alex's Final Order - Manchester United

                    

It is reported that about 6 experienced players such as Edwin van der Sar, Gary Neville, Owen Hargreaves, Tomasz Kuszczak, Michael Owen and Wes Brown are expected to leave Manchester United at the end of this season due to retirement or some other reasons.

Also the future of the club is very doubtful due to confusions of transfers of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. But sir alex assures a very enthusiastic response about it as he has announced the replacement reports of Paul Ince, Mark Hughes and Andrei Kanchelskis by Neville, Scholes, David Beckham and Nicky Butt.
