The Largest Family Of The World

The 66 year old man living in a remote hilly area in northern India with his 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren having record of largest family according to Guinness World Records.

The whole large family lives in a 4 storied building together constituting 100 rooms in a village of Mizoram, eastern state of India.

Initially Ziona Chana had married with 10 women In a year, & now he haves wives sharing their dormitory and having 7-8 wives beside him all the times. 

Though the different wives & children stay in different rooms but they share a common kitchen.

The family members have divided their work among themselves i.e. wives cook the food, daughters clean the house, itensils home & other household work, and the male members do outside work of farming taking care of livestock & other outdoor jobs.

Now talking about their diet, 167 of them eat around 200lb of rice and more than 130lb of potatoes a day. They grow, produce & eat their food self dependently and rarely accept some donations from their supporters.

At this Ziona sportingly added that "Even today, I am ready to expand my family and willing to go to any extent to marry, I have so many people to care (for) and look after, and I consider myself a lucky man."

Mr Chana met his oldest wife, who is three years older than he is, when he was 17.He heads a local Christian religious sect, called the "Chana", which allows polygamy. Formed in June 1942, the sect believes it will soon be ruling the world with Christ and has a membership of around 400 families.
